Have you noticed that habits are measured through their frequency and not time?

I was reminded of the following quotes, possessing two bubbles of wisdom:

”I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.” — Bruce Lee

and another,

”Insanity is repeating the same mistakes and expecting a different result — Albert Einstein.” —

In the formation of habits, discipline & awareness is really important!

Personally, I’m set intentions (literally) by saying it out loud in my mind when I’m brushing my teeth

(somehow the smell of mint promotes a clean/refreshed feeling and I’m attempting to stack a current life-long habit to further improve a positive outlook)

For me, it achieves the following:

  • Thoughts/Beliefs: Starting the day with positive intentions through prayer.
  • Feelings: Refreshed and ready.
  • Action: Repeating this practice every single day *coz it’s needed
  • Results: Being more purposeful in my interactions and more present.

Alas, this is something that I’m continuing to work on and hoping it will spill over to other areas of my life as well.

To be Targeted. And Strike with Accuracy.
